Rainmaker Holland, a leading developer of atmospheric water generation technology, is proud to announce that Green Nest Eco-Lodge in Tanzania has placed the first pre-order for the new Rainmaker AW 250L. This partnership marks a significant milestone in advancing access to sustainable, locally produced drinking water solutions across East Africa.

The Rainmaker AW 250L produces up to 250 liters of pure drinking water per day, directly from the air—entirely independent of any existing water infrastructure. Designed for small-scale and off-grid applications, the system provides a reliable, renewable water source in regions where clean water access remains a pressing challenge.

Environmental preservation through innovative technology

“We are extremely proud that Green Nest Eco-Lodge will be the first to implement our Rainmaker AW 250L,” says Joost Oosterling, CEO of Rainmaker Holland. “Their dedication to sustainability and eco-tourism aligns seamlessly with our mission: to enable access to safe drinking water—everywhere, for everyone.”but start locally.”

Located near Arusha National Park, Green Nest Eco-Lodge is known for its deep commitment to environmental preservation and sustainable tourism. The decision to adopt the Rainmaker AW 250L represents a forward-thinking step toward achieving fully water-neutral operations across their lodges.

“For us, sustainability isn’t only about energy—it’s also about water,” adds Anno van der Meer, Director of Green Nest Eco-Lodges. “With the Rainmaker AW 250L, we can offer our guests pure, locally produced drinking water without drawing on local groundwater resources. This is a game-changer for our lodge and for the surrounding community.”

Towards sustainable future

The installation of the first Rainmaker AW 250L unit in Tanzania is scheduled for early 2026, followed by a broader rollout across East Africa as part of Rainmaker Holland’s expansion into regional eco-tourism, hospitality, and community water projects.

Together, we can make water independence a global reality — sustainably, responsibly, and with purpose.
