Research location on the Canary Islands

Last week, with the signing of the contract, Rainmaker started an official collaboration with ITC (Instituto Tecnológico de las Islas Canarias). ITC will provide the test location where the Water 2 Water project will be tested for the first time at the end of the summer.

Excellent facilities and conditions

ITC was founded in 1992 and has since been involved in research, development and innovation projects. They work closely with universities, research institutes and companies.

The ITC facilities are an ideal platform for testing the Water2Water installation due to the excellent local conditions. There is direct access to seawater and more than sufficient access to renewable energy sources such as solar and wind. At the end of the summer, probably in September, the first machine will be shipped to the island for extensive testing.

The Water2Water project is funded by the European Commission, for more information: https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/873854
